Neo Geo X Gold
Today I was looking on Yahoo’s game blogs and saw that they were re-making the Neo Geo. Now to some people, this might just seem like a scheme to make more money, or a bad idea- Heck, it’s possibly both!
However, I bought the Neo Geo Pocket Color sometime ago, and I loved it! I thought it was great. Then again, I bought it for 20-30 dollars over the original price of 70, which back in 1999 I’m assuming was a lot. So this is just my thoughts on this console.

Now, for those of you who aren’t aware of this console yet, these are the facts.
“It is a handheld with a 4.3 inch LCD screen, it has an analog stick and four buttons. It also had a standard joystick controller and a dock to connect it to the TV, and it comes pre-loaded with 20 games, and it is about $200. The games are as listed:
3 Count Bout
Art of Fighting II
Alpha Mission II
Baseball Stars II
Cyber Lips
Fatal Fury
Fatal Fury Special
The King of Fighters ’95
King of the Monsters
Last Resort
League Bowling
Magician Lord
Metal Slug
Mutation Nation
Nam 1975
Puzzled
Real Bout – Fatal Fury Special
Samurai Shodown II
Super Sidekicks
World Heroes Perfect”

Now, I’m not sure if everyone is complaining about this, or just Yahoo, but they’re talking about it being a rip-off and not worth it.
I personally think it’s a pretty good deal.
If you’re wondering why: think about it. You are getting a new console, which for handhelds range in between 170-250 dollars. You are getting 20 games, that come with it for FREE. Also, it can connect to the TV!
I understand that all of these games are ‘old’, but when the 3DS came out it was $250 and had a TON of remakes on it. To make up for the price they gave the people who payed $250 20 free games that were both already on the NES and GBA.
I think this is a brilliant idea for people who wanted a Neo Geo when it first came out, and I plan on getting it.
