Michael Fassbender to star in and produce the Assassin’s Creed film.

You heard that right, actor and beefcake extraordinaire(yeah I have a crush, suck it) Michael Fassbender has signed on to be the main character in the Assassin’s Creed motion picture. Earlier in the year, Ubisoft rustled some jimmies out there when they started their own film production section and made a deal with Sony to have full creative control over the project.

“Oh Michael, please don’t look at me like that!” *blush*

Now comes word from Variety that Michael Fassbender will be lending his talents and production company DMC Film(wait…a devil may cry movie too??) to help with the project. Word is also floating around that the main character will not be series regular Desmond Miles, but a new assassin not based in america. For now, all we have to do is wait and see what all goes down in the future. With Fassbender on board though, things may be better than usual.

Just looking at the article that came before this, my question is why? Video games have reached a point where the cutscenes serve as a movie. Taking the source material and making it into a movie, at this point, seems redundant. Especially given the history of movies based on video games.

He may look good, but he is a terrible actor and this should not be made into a movie. Also, what Jeff said.
