The future of Square-Enix is very beautiful indeed.

Square-Enix yesterday showed off what will become their new engine after the White engine currently in use. On par with Unreal 4, the Luminous engine is the name that Square-Enix has given it. The Tech-Demo above is named Agni’s Philosophy and it showcases very impressive scenery and character detail. We’ll see what this new engine will do in the future. What do you think?

    The most striking thing to me in all of this is that the bad guys appear to be some sort of Arab. In a gaming world where that seems like the go to enemy in every FPS, did we really need it in Final Fantasy too?
