Frankenweenie Art Exhibit

It’s October! Which obviously means it’s Halloween season. And of course, new seasonal movies, such as Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie. Based off a short film Burton did in his early years, Frankenweenie appears to be the next cult hit for Burton and Disney fans alike. I had the privilege of attending the Frankenweenie Art Exhibit at California Adventure’s Off the Page located in Anaheim, CA. The exhibit included sketches from Tim Burton and actual sets, characters and props from the movie. Check out some photos I took of the exhibit (make sure to click each one for a better look!):

Food for thought: The original Frankenweenie was never released in theaters because Disney thought the film was too scary for younger audiences. Burton was also fired from Disney due to the film; they claimed that he wasted company money on a useless project. It was released as a bonus feature on the dvd and blu ray releases of The Nightmare Before Christmas. Be sure to go see Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie; out October 5th.
