About Ogeeku

Ogeeku was created in July of 2011 with the goal of uniting the “geeks” and “otaku” of the world in an ultimate destination for intellectual discussion, insightful rants, reviews, and thought-provoking opinions on what it means to truly be a ‘geek’ in the modern day.

All of the contributors on this site live the life of an ‘Ogeeku’ and in the end, we want you to know that you are awesome for being you. Keep cosplaying, listening to bit music, playing those 70+ hour long RPGs, reading translated manga – because we know we will until we are no longer here. ^^

Q: I am a registered member. What does the star next to a number on the upper bar mean?
That is how many Ogeeku points you have earned. By visiting the site daily, commenting on posts, adding friends, and submitting articles for the site (among other things), you gain Ogeeku points. These points will eventually be redeemable for cool swag, items, and other benefits in our Ogeeku store and for exclusive site content. Think of it as digital money that you get just for visiting

Q: How do I write for Ogeeku?
All registered users on Ogeeku are able to become writers on the site. Simply message one of the founding members for writing privileges. For details on how to get started and make it look awesome, check out this post.

Q: What’s this about live broadcasts?
Ogeeku does multiple broadcasts a week. These broadcasts feature hosts playing video games and interacting with the Ogeeku members via chat. It’s great fun and is the cornerstone of Ogeeku. The Ogeeku community has become a very tight knit community thanks to the bonds created during our broadcasts. Please join us in the fun!
